Strike A Pose: Past Oscar Fashion

This Sunday, the Superbowl of the film world will be on tv. Since I was a little girl, the Oscars have been my favorite award show. It was and still is the award show that has the most glamour, glitz and bling bling.

Ever since I can remember,  I  have always been glued to the tv, especially as my faves, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet and Renee Zelwegger, graced the red carpet with their beauty, gorgeous gowns and dazzling jewelry.

I can't wait to see the fashion that comes out from this year's award show, but until then, I have my five favorite dresses from the past three years.

When you think of Halle Berry at the Oscars, the first thing that probably pops to your mind is her Elie Saab Couture gown from 2002. However, she never dissapoints and always brings beautiful fashion to the award shows. In 2011, Halle stepped out again and this time it was in this gorgeous Marchesa gown. The corset shows off her beautiful curves and the train makes the entire look softer.

2011 was also the year that Jennifer Hudson showed off her weight loss with Atelier Versace dress. The color looked so fabulous on her.

My next 3 are all from 2010. It was a great year for Oscar Fashion.

The first beautiful dress of 2010 was Rachel McAdams in an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. It was as if she was wearing a lovely painting. She was gliding on colors and it was perfect.

2010 was also the year that Sandra Bullock won the Best Actress Oscar for "The Blind Side" and she did it in this silver Marchesa gown. This dress, from top to bottom, was also a winner that night.

In 2010, Cameron Diaz blew us away with a stunning Oscar de le Renta gown. The gown had such gorgeous beading that it brought all of the bling, bling that she needed, so she was smart to keep her jewelry minimal.

What is your favorite Oscar gown of the past couple of years?

Hearts, Chocolates & Fashion

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Whether you have a significant other or not, you can look great with fun and flirty pieces that are appropriate for this day of love and chocolates (Lots and Lots of Chocolates).

Accessories

Shoedazzle has some really adorable Love watches. Wear your heart on your sleeve indeed:

This watch comes in Red, Beige, Black and Mint Color on their website.

If you are not one to be held back by time, then they also have a really adorable Love bracelet in both gold and silver

Either of these would be a great accessory for Valentine's Day.

SHOES

If you are looking for the perfect romantic shoe that can be both formal and fun, JustFab has a great red peep toe with a cute bow on the side that screams Valentine's Day. It's called Venice and it can be found on the Just Fab website.

BAG

If you like your Valentine's Day to be a bit more edgy instead of super cutesy, then the Lionel Mazzie bag is the perfect pink bag for you for Valentine's Day. It can be used during the day as a cross body as you hang out with your friends and then it can be used as a clutch at night for your dinner date with your significant other. I'm currently obsessed with this bag because although it's very feminine, the studs make the bag interesting and cool. This bag can be found at the Lionel Handbag website.

If you are looking for something a bit more posh and classic, but keeping the studs that make the other bag edgy and current, Michael Kors has a beautiful red studded quilted clutch bag. This one would be perfect for a romantic dinner at a top notch restaurant in the city. It's gorgeous and will upgrade any outfit from just "nice" to "FABULOUS". This clutch can be found on the Michael Kors website.

Do you guys have any plans for Valentine's Day? Hanging out with friends or going on a romantic getaway? Do you already have the perfect outfit picked out?
